Through our renowned industry expertise in Private Brand building, experiential consumer marketing and innovative retail-driven services, we currently collaborate with more than 100 major retailers and nearly 6,000 manufacturers in 50 countries. 

We currently have Business Manager, Pet position located in Carlisle, PA and provide relocation assistance to qualified candidates.

The Business Manager, Pet will work closely with Category Business Managers and customer headquarters personnel on a variety of marketing, sales and analytic issues for the Pet Category. The focus of this work is to build our customer’s Corporate Brand Pet categories through analysis and the development of marketing plans, product promotions, analytics, advertising, and merchandising strategies. 

Duties, Responsibilities and Expected Contributions

Business/Functional Results

  • Achieve budgeted goals for area of accountability
  • Support account team in the development of sales plans
  • Increase Daymon business connectivity with customers
  • Effectively negotiate supplier commission rates to grow category or team revenue
  • Perform, coordinate and lead the analysis and development of: marketing plans; product promotions; advertising; in-store displays; merchandising strategies; and inventory forecasting
  • Manages assigned categories, performs analysis, and develops and recommends strategy within assigned area of responsibility
  • Interprets trends and other sales analysis data to assist Sr. Business Manager
  • Performs increasingly complex interactions with suppliers, taking ownership and including rate negotiation
  • Collaborates and  partners with marketing resources, both internal and external (note: international may have more autonomy to develop their own marketing plans)

The Position:

Territory Sales Representative, will contribute to our sales strategy by bringing in new business and maintaining existing accounts. It will be responsible for maximizing the profitability of accounts by curating client relationships and creating up sale opportunities. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contact new leads including cold calling to generate new business
  • Follow up and service current accounts on reorders and product sell through
  • Develop relationships with store owners, management and personnel to gain optimal product placement
  • Strengthen customer relationships by building interpersonal rapport and maintaining consistent contact
  • Be the face of the brand through tradeshows, special events and store openings within territory
  • Provide training seminars both online and in person to store owners and staff
  • Analyze competition and develop new strategies to help educate and increase product exposure in store
  • Willing and able to accept any other responsibilities assigned to this position 

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 2-4 years of Sales Experience (experience in Pet Industry a plus)
  • Self-motivated, driven, and health conscientious
  • Ability to professionally communicate (verbal/written) to a wide range of audiences across multiple levels of the organization
  • Very detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to take directive, work independently and problem solve
  • Must be able to travel (up to 50% of the time)
