Pet Ownership Campaign Stretches Across the Country
- Campaign receives airings from national outlets and top markets such as Los Angeles, Houston, and Washington D.C. –
(Greenwich, CT), April 1, 2008 – A campaign aimed at promoting responsible pet care, increased pet adoption and the joys and benefits of pet ownership has successfully launched across the U.S.
The American Pet Products Association (APPA), The Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA) and H.H. Backer joined forces in October 2007 to produce a nationwide public service announcement program called Pets Add Life (PAL).
The campaign involves three television spots, and over the past six months the TV spots have reached thousands of Americans informing them of the benefits of pet ownership and adoption. The campaign received airings in top markets such as Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Houston along with many others.The entire PAL PSA campaign received 1,160 airings across the country, garnering more than $290,000 in media value.
The primary goal behind the PAL campaign is to drive increased pet adoption and promote responsible ownership of pets by clearly sending the message that the pet industry cares about pets and their owners.
