APPA Launches New Website
-Website Includes Up-to-the-Minute Industry News and Entire Site Dedicated to Global Pet Expo-
GREENWICH, CT., January 13, 2005 – As part of an aggressive ongoing campaign to continuously make advancements in the industry and to better serve its members and participants in Global Pet Expo, The American Pet Products Association (APPA) has launched a newly designed and advanced APPA website as well as an entirely new Global Pet Expo site.
The newly designed website maintains the same address, www.americanpetproducts.org and contains a link to the new Global Pet Expo site found at www.globalpetexpo.org. Both sites contain concise useful information, are interactive, and utilize the latest technology to ensure ease of use and simple navigation.
The APPA site is more comprehensive and now includes a headlines section with the latest pet industry stories and up-to-the-minute industry news to enable users to access the latest information that directly affects the pet industry.
“We strive to always be on the leading edge of the industry providing the highest level of service and expertise,”
In addition to an aesthetically pleasing design and simple tab navigation, a new site search function allows users to find specifically what they are looking for in an instant. A new function also enables APPA members to update their own information.
The Global Pet Expo site was designed with exhibitors and buyers in mind and allows quick and easy access to all show information. First-time buyers can qualify to attend the show and people registered on the show invitation list can sign-up for badges. Buyers can register for seminars and see the entire floor plan at a glance.
Exhibitors can now do everything online from reserving a booth and hotel rooms to finding potential buyers and accessing APPA’s extensive invitation list of buyers for the show.
The Trade Show Marketing Kit for Global Pet Expo is available entirely online and Global Pet Expo’s extensive public relations program is posted which includes a tip sheet to get products noticed, sample press releases and a media list.
Exhibitors can register for Steve Miller’s trade show marketing seminar and booth critiques as well as order complimentary postcards or stickers to promote participation in Global Pet Expo.
And, for the first time this year, exhibitors are able to order buyer brochures to send to their customers. This is a personal invitation that includes the exhibitor’s company name, booth number and website address.
Another addition is the complete automation of the New Products Showcase submission form. Exhibitors are able to pay for entries on line by credit card. A tent card will be generated automatically by APPA and placed with the exhibitor’s product at the show. It’s a simplified process for users and enhances the look of the Showcase in
“As the largest annual pet products show in the world, we want to ensure that our web site serves attendee needs at the same high level as the Show itself,” said Andy Darmohraj, Vice President & Deputy Managing Director of APPA. “The new Global Pet Expo site streamlines the registration process and enables anyone to access show information anywhere anytime.”
Another significant advancement on the new web site is an interactive floor plan. Now users can see which booths are available and which are assigned to an exhibitor. By clicking on the individual booth, users can see the exhibitor’s contact information. It’s a tool that can help exhibitors identify their neighbors and helps buyers plan their time at Global Pet Expo. Exhibitors can also now request badges on line.
APPA invites people to view the new sites and welcomes comments and suggestions for even more improvements at email@example.com. The sites can be accessed at
