Pet Industry Wins Pair of Top Awards

-APPA receives two Association TRENDS awards-

GREENWICH, CT., December 6, 2005 – The American Pet Products Association (APPA) announced today it has been awarded a gold and bronze award in the 2006 Association TRENDS all-media contest.

APPA’s PAL (Pets Add Life) Campaign, earned the top gold award in the Public Service Announcement print category.The PAL Campaign is designed to promote the joys and benefits of responsible pet ownership as well as to inform the public about a wide variety of pet related issues.

The APPA Member Resource Guide 2005-06 won the bronze award for Best Directory.

“We are extremely pleased to receive these prestigious awards and will continue in our efforts to create compelling materials that assist us in effectively communicating to our members and promoting responsible pet ownership,” said APPA COO, Bob Vetere.

APPA will be honored at the 2006 Association Trends Salute to Association Excellence, February 10, 2006 in Washington, D.C.
