Rapidly growing mid-atlantic based distribution company seeks director of operations.  
 
Position Reports to the President.  
 

Job Description 

Responsible for directing execution of operation with focus on quality and efficiency improvements. Plan and manage all areas of distribution, quality control, packaging retail customers consistent with quality, delivery, and cost objectives.    Oversight and management of warehouse team of 10+.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in supply chain, operations, business or related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of Operations/Supply Chain lead management experience; 5+ years in pet industry
  • Preferred knowledge of NetSuite-Distribution.
  • Strong experience with different warehouse management systems & capabilities. as well as distribution footprint & network optimization
  • Proven track record of improving warehouse labor efficiency and maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy and customer service
  • Previous project management experience
  • Strong background in creating a safety driven culture

Job Description

Zoetis is the industry leader known for developing and marketing first in class animal health products that help veterinarians provide a higher level of care to their patients.  The ideal candidate for this position has strong digital and content marketing experience with demonstrable results, is a self-starter, strategic thinker and executes with excellence.  He/she knows how to leverage storytelling to drive our narrative and can effectively engage our audiences which include pet owners and veterinary professionals.  He/she will be able to manage content marketing efforts across our two distinct audiences, being able to understand the similarities, differences and synergies with the goal of amplifying and optimizing our marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Thinks like a publisher/journalist, leading the development of content initiatives in all forms to drive business objectives such as: creating awareness of the Zoetis brand, generating leads, building loyalty and driving cross-sell across our portfolio of products.   Proactively collaborate with key stakeholders including our marketing team, creative agencies, corporate communications, sales colleagues and others.  Partner with agencies and marketing team to create, display, distribute and measure best in class copy, video, graphics and interactive content.
    • Manage the day-to-day execution of campaigns with a hands-on history of using email marketing, social media, influencer marketing, digital advertising and SEM.  Deliver strong and consistent engagement through digital channels ensuring campaigns are delivered on schedule, are completed within budget and achieve performance targets.  
    • Facilitate content planning meetings, work with marketing communications to traffic content workflow from concept to syndication.  Ensure brand, voice and tone consistency, relevancy and ongoing optimization.  Maintain and update brand guidelines, digital asset management tool and other platforms as needed.
      • Create content taxonomy within our CMS that allows seamless syndication to our digital channels/properties.  Ensure alignment to segments/personas/journeys.
      • Determine KPIs and monitor analytics/performance, while making real-time and long-term optimization improvements by program and channel.  Recommend and implement process and technology improvements.  Build test and learn programs around new topic ideas or content formats
      • Proactively partner with product marketing teams to provide content marketing and branding guidance.  Help improve targeting and co-create personalized, self-directed customer/consumer journeys.  Strategically evaluate and provide guidance on when to leverage portfolio vs. product branding.  Recommendations will include UX considerations throughout all campaign elements.
      • Grow social media following on newly launched channels and drive opt-in’s into Zoetis programs.  Leverage channels to increase and enrich contact database. 
  • Work with agency partners and internal market research team to generate and share insights.  Research should include trending topics, keyword research, consumer/market trends, competitive research, etc. 
    • Perform art direction, copywriting and editing as required with exceptional grammar skills and the capability to pivot between multiple customer segments/voices.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in content marketing with a strong track record of leading high performing campaigns and engagement strategies with experience with B2C and B2B marketing.    Consumer + digital marketing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience managing and analyzing content for digital & social channels; in particular Facebook, Instagram, email and websites. Experience with monitoring social media listening/scheduling platform(s).
  • Attention to detail particularly with regards to planning, proofreading and project management.
  • Proven ability to develop partnerships and collaborate across functions and business divisions. 
  • Experience directing and managing agency relationships.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and written/verbal communications skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative, organized, curious, problem solver. 
  • A passion for results and ability to quickly adapt to change.  Familiarity with design thinking and beta testing to implement continuous improvements.
  • Demonstrated blend of creative and analytical talent.
  • Experience with MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud applications, CMS platforms and Google Analytics
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • MBA/Master preferred
