Join us Tuesday, March 19th, 8am - 12:30pm as we visit 4 local retail outlets to see American merchandising strategy in practice. The itinerary contains stops at a variety of pet product retailers including PetSmart, Petco, Walmart, and Pet Supermarket. The tour includes a pet industry market briefing and guided tour from our moderator and retail specialist, John Sturm.

About the moderator:
John Sturm will be hosting the retailer tour this year. He is a lifetime retailer having learned the business at HEB, one of the most progressive grocery retailers in the country. He served as the Vice President and GM of Merchandising at Petco over the past 8 years. John played a pivotal role at Petco leading change across the business as the company set a course around quality private brands, better pet nutrition, and omni channel convenience. He authored many of the strategies currently underway today.

The Market Builder Program assists U.S. exporters looking to launch their product in international markets, find new distributors or importers, and receive valuable feedback about their product. The program has two components:
Market Scan: uses in-market representatives to provide in-depth research including a distribution analysis, competitive product shopping, importation analysis, distribution referrals, and target importer profiles.
Rep Finder: an in-market representative facilitates direct meetings between your company and a select group of targeted importers. Includes distributor referrals and a target importer list.
