The American Pet Products Association Encourages Cat Ownership in Celebration of Adopt-a-Cat Month
(Stamford, CT) –In recognition of Adopt-a-Cat Month (June), officials with the American Pet Products Association (APPA) are encouraging responsible cat ownership as the nation celebrates the joys and benefits cats bring to our lives. This pet observance raises awareness about cat adoptions at the peak of “kitten season,” a term which refers to the influx of kittens that come to shelters in June and July. According to APPA’s 2019-2020 National Pet Owners Survey, benefits of cat ownership include companionship, fun to watch and relieve stress.
